No. They grossly overcharge customers for parts and act like it's normal to charge $456 for a $19 part. Stay away!!

I called Air-Tro when my furnace would not turn on and it was 50' inside my house!
Their technician, Kevin Berry, greeted me at the door with a smile, a business card, and a few little promo flashlights. He was polite, professional, and answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and able to get my furnace up and running again. He also took the time to explain the flashing lights on the furnace panel. This is the 3rd time that I have used Air-Tro and I have not been disappointed. Have had regular maintenance with Air Tro for over 5 years. This year after normal maintenance, experienced a "glitch" with thermostat after the servicing . I had two call backs. Eventually Air Tro was good about rectifying my problem. Technicians always showed up as scheduled. On the last visit, Edgar was the technician. He was very good at listening to my complaint. He methodically evaluated the thermostat problem, eventually reprogramming the thermostat per the original specifications indicated in the manufacturer User Guide.

This company is such a rip off. We have been a customer of theirs for years. Today I called to ask for an estimate on a broken thermostat in our office building. The guy comes out and gives an estimate that is absolutely outrageous - double the average price any where else. Of course we declined the service due to the price.
That wasn't even the issue. He proceeded to insist that he had to charge for his time to come out and give the estimate - over $200 to tell us what the cost would be! There was no heavy labor involved in this diagnosis. He spent all 30 minutes just waiting around for approval on this ridiculous charge.
They did NOT inform me on the phone that they would charge me for just giving an estimate. If I knew that, I could have just got the estimate over the phone. But no option was given. Just a guy shows up and demands a signature for $222.
And of course he showed complete indifference when we expressed our concern to him.
Their yelp page literally advertises *FREE ESTIMATE* (see attached exhibit A), and they take advantage of a long-time customer like us because they have our billing information.
This is a horrible way to run business, and we will not be using Air Tro for their grossly over-priced services any longer.

I have documentation printed from their invoice, my photos and text mssgs sent to me directly from Air-Tro
They Charged me $181.00 for "diagnotics" on my furnace. They claimed I needed a new circuit board. That would cost me an additional $781. for the repair.
I'm a 60 year old woman. I researched YouTube. I Climbed into the attic to view the problem myself. Due to the flashing code on my furnace, I only needed a capasitor, costing $11.00.
I did the simple repair myself. I have all the documentation to verify the disappointment of this fraudulent activity. SHAME ON THEM!!!!

It was a pleasure dealing with Air-Tro when I needed maintenance/repair to my central heating system.
The HVAC technician, Taylor, was very professional, and exemplified what customer service should be. She was polite, efficient, and provided a recommended solution to the issue. Ben the Service Manager was just as pleasant. Very responsive, professional and thorough.
Unfortunately, this is in stark contrast to my previous experience; the tech was unprofessional, and could barely provide a response to my concerns. At best all he could do was come up with a mono-syllabic grunt for an answer. But water under the bridge, am I right?

So I called another hvac service and they solved the issue and repaired the unit. They said that there was no need for a new system. I know who not to use for my future issues or services. Thanks for trying to rip us off air-tro.

The customer is correct in that we struggled to properly diagnose the cause of the leak. We've offered our apologies and a refund.
However, the equipment in question is approximately 50 years old. Based on the model and serial # of the unit, it was manufactured between 1970 and 1975. We would recommend budgeting for a replacement unit fairly soon.Oct 13, 2023Previous reviewWe been using them for years for service at our house and no issues. We also purchased our system from them and even recommended them to our friends and family who have purchased and used them for services. So, I called for them to service my mother's air unit which was leaking water from it. The service person came and said he didn't know how to work on it and that he would talk to the owner and get back to me. I get a call from them assuming they were going to give me an update. Boy was I wrong. It was a sales person trying to set up an appointment for an estimate for a new unit. I told the sales person I was expecting an update call not a sales call. The person said that the service tech stated on his notes that the unit needed to be replaced. Why, because he didn't know how to service the unit so we have to replace it now? Are you kidding me. All he could say was that's what was noted. On top of that they charged me $88 dollars for the service person to tell me he does know what to do and then try to get us to buy a new unit. If they told me what the problem was and how much it was going to cost and we turned down the repairs I could see us paying the service charge but that's ridiculous. I hope this is not a new way of them running their business now by lying to customers and just trying to make sales. This has definitely left a sour taste. Don't know if I want to use them any more or recommend them.

The young lady who answered the phone today didn't know if the company installed tankless water heaters! I told her you should know that information if you're answering the phone, so she hung up on me. Knucklehead approach at customer service. I will not being having Airhead-Tro install my tankless. Who answers that phone, "matters".

As an air conditioning company, we heat and cool air.

Jason repaired my A/C ducts. I shopped around for quality professionals in this specialized area of work, who would give me a fair price. It was important to have this done right, as the old system was not circulating in parts of the house, dust was interfering with art work I did, my dogs were adding to the dust and I was having head-aches and coughing a lot. This company went above and beyond my expectations! The installation looks secure and beautiful. My A/C system is running better than it ever has! No more dust. No more breathing issues. This is an important component in a home. This company is a great choice to making certain it's functioning properly. Highly recommend!

Though the technician and the sales person who tried to push more repair on me consistently was extremely unhelpful and greedy, I was able to talk to another service person. One of the guy from their office called and listened to my concerns. The person was very courteous and willing to help. For that I feel a lot better. I could give a lot of credit to the other guy I talked to later on.

Charged over $1000 and my air still doesn't cool. Didn't resolve the issue. Eventually they blamed my electricity system being inadequate. We checked with electrician and the reading came back more than sufficient.
Either this company is incompetent or they are scamming us by constantly finding never ending more parts to replace.
We called another hvac person, he came in once, replaced one part and fixed the issue right away.
