Visited a few months ago and this has been bugging me since... reception nice but, Director was saying negative things about a patient loud enough for me and others to hear. I'm concerned my loved one is subjected to this. Not sure if she's a relative of owners or not. Wouldn't surprise me!

A family member lived here for almost a year in the assisted living section. Her caretakers were superb - very attentive, kind and knowledgeable. The rooms are exceptionally large and comfortable. The entire staff has heart -- efficient, friendly and they care. I highly recommend this facility. I would sign up myself!

My dad was a recent resident at Arcadia Gardens and we did not have a good experience. Claudia initially gave us a tour of the facility and seemed a little impatient. She used the pressure tactic that there were not a lot of open rooms available and we had to act fast to get into the facility. Once we paid the deposit, she no longer answered questions or texts at all, not even pointers to contact someone else, no response at all once she had our money.

Once my dad was residing in the facility, we realized that the facility is extremely short staffed. There were many times I hit the call button in the room and if we were lucky, a caretaker would show up in 40+ minutes. If you hit the call button in the evening hours, good luck, no one will show up. My dad seemed to be in pain one of the times I hit the call button. I ran up to reception and also asked them to page the nurse. Waiting that 40 minutes was an eternity watching my dad wince in pain. We ended up having to hire our own caretakers due to the lack of staffing at the facility. In talking to the caretakers, they admitted they were extremely short staffed and could probably be able to change diapers three times a day maximum for a resident and on a bad day, only one time. All the nurses there were extremely rude and impatient. One even yelled at me for calling them (when my dad was in pain), which really shocked me. Suzie was the only nurse who was super nice. I don't know why the other nurses were so nasty and you wouldn't think that kind of attitude would fly considering how much we were paying for the facility. If you contacted Pamela, the administrator, it would take her a really long time to respond. We were lucky we had hospice to help us with communicating with Arcadia Gardens, otherwise my dad would have been completely neglected.

The facility does not allow individuals under 18 to visit (even if they were fully vaccinated and have proof of vaccination), so it was virtually impossible for grandkids to visit my dad, which was really sad.

The sanitary practices at the facility were not too great. My dad had a catheter and was using the restroom and the cleaning staff came in and cleaned the toilet right next to him while he was in the restroom.

The one caveat was the ladies at reception were super nice and tried their best to help.

Thinking of Arcadia Gardens still reminds me of the nightmare of no one coming into his room to check on him, and when you call someone, it's an eternity for someone to come in. If you call a nurse, good luck and get ready to be yelled at.

Near the end, when hospice started morphine for my dad, the first delivery of morphine was misplaced and the staff there could not find it at all. After much scrambling and searching, and after having hospice get involved, they were able to find it. You would think a delivery of morphine would be carefully tracked by the staff there and would not be misplaced. Scary.

My parents moved here after my father broke his hip 6 years ago. He had early dementia and my step mom had Parkinson's disease. They lived here for 5 years, enjoying the security and activities. Dad did Tai Chi and attended the dances.
Start with a tour, lead by Maria and go from there. The staff is very courteous and respectful. The ownership also are great people. They bend over backwards to help your patents transition to assisted living.
My father recently passed, away and I stopped by to let them know. My parents moved on to skilled nursing over a year ago. They remembered me and my parents. They're great people and love to help.

Today my husband and I attended our senior friend and my client (I am his barberete and I have visited several times for his shaves and haircuts before at this location) The place is clean with great service from the staff to my senior friend. Unfortunately, this year as this pandemic is happening no visitors are allowed and understandably so. Since we had to visit him for his birthday 92 years! though a small window facing West, Mr Sanchez had to endure the horrible heat 98 F with not a single cloud in the sky? It made me wonder how come the management haven't spend a few dollars to put an awning in that only window that seniors can visit with their loved ones? As of today is been 75 days since our governor in California gave the orders to stay at home. We are probably looking at one more month of this. Is putting an awning for the confort of all seniors visits with this hot weather to make a more pleasant visit with their loved ones asking for too much? Do you only as management act solely with a complain? This makes me wonder.....
      UPDATE
The facility has provided a much needed shade not only to their seniors but to their guests as well. THANK YOU someone is listening! So I change and upgraded my 3 star review to a 5 app was

About five months ago our Nonna (grandmother) was admitted to the memory care ward for those with severe dementia and Alzheimer's. That's where Flor came into our lives. Due to COVID restrictions, we aren't able to visit as much as we'd like and most communication is done over the phone.
She makes our Nonna laugh with her wonderful sense of humor, consoles her when she is sad and has helped to keep her overall spirits up. About a month ago Nonna was admitted to hospice care, which you can imagine has put a great sense of guilt for not being able to be with her 24/7, as well as a good amount of stress and grief upon our family. Flor has walked us through the process of saying our goodbyes, keeping us up to date on how she's doing on a day-to-day basis, and being an overall comfort during this trying time. We will be forever grateful to Flor for all that she has done for not just caring for our Nonna, but for the comfort she has provided to our entire family.

A beautiful Community indeed! Offering Independent, Assisted Living, and Dementia care. I work here so my review might be a bit bias, but take a look at just some of the awards Arcadia Gardens has accumulated through the years. Whoa! Thankful to work with such an amazing group of residents and employees!

It's beautiful here, lots of friends, lots of activities, and lots of entertainment. The grounds are beautifully manicured and there is a lovely pool as well! The caregivers are wonderful! There is so much to see and so much to do. I love it. It's changed my life forever!

      First to Review

Arcadia Gardens has my mother's home for over six years. My family and I have felt very blessed to have found such a wonderful place for her to live. The property, both inside and out, is immaculate. My mother's room is always kept spotless; fresh linen, towels, deep cleaning, and bathroom products. The common areas are cheerful and the floors are mopped daily, David, one of the owners who is always around-a definite plus-manages the decorating. He changes it according to the seasons and also when he buys a new piece of furniture. The interior is quite stunning with lots of marble and chandeliers. His beautiful wife Julie is also often on the premises and David's sister-also beautiful -Valentina also works in the office. Because it is a family business, the residents are treated with care and compassion. The Christmas decorations are simply jaw dropping! David makes Arcadia Gardens into a real live winter wonderland. No kidding. Everyone should see it once in their life!!!!!

We are huge fans of the entire Family at Arcadia Gardens from Julie, David, Valentina, to all of the CNA's and everyone else who has helped and loved our mom through the years!
