Bolton

My company contracts with Bolton to handle our insurance needs. Thanks to Bolton, I've somehow, completely against my will, become my company's insurance cop, despite that having nothing at all to do with my actual job. Insurance rates are frequently wrong, cards come very late, and the agents usually are not able to answer anything but the most basic questions. Since we never have the same agent from one year to the next, whenever something is horribly wrong, the agent can then point to the agent who came before them to take the blame. If you're a C-suite person thinking about using them, I recommend you run far and fast from Bolton.

We've been with Bolton for more than 25 years. Service has gone from good (many years ago) to marginal to nonexistent. Kemper recently pulled out of California, and Bolton was not helpful in helping us research and price out new coverage. Now I can't get a callback for the simplest question.
And, the latest: Today, we got a notice saying our auto coverage was cancelled last week and we owe $...which we don't (we have the receipts).

TL/DR: Spent tens of thousands on premiums to Bolton over the years, and now can't get a callback. Don't. Just don't.

Update: the day AFTER I posted this, got an email on remarketing our insurance. Already found other coverage, no thanks to Bolton. Avoid.

It appears they change agents extremely often. You don't get calls back they don't even answer their phones.. tried for over a half hour to reach someone at the office.. Gave up

I have been a Bolton Insurance customer for almost 2 decades. Their service used to be excellent. Not anymore. They are apparently branching out to other services and they don't seem to value their existing insurance customers anymore. Over the last years they changed my agent 7 times. The new agent does not know me and does not seem to care. I had an issue with the insurance fee I paid for over one month but I could not get a response from them despite my multiple follow ups. I suggest you take your insurance business to another agency where your business is valued. I am certainly looking into it.
