The best milk on the Planet! Really great service too. Driftwood Dairy has been around since 1922 and it shows. They are experts at what they are doing but mostly, the milk is tasty!

An El Monte staple!

If by happenstance you are passing through the little ol' town of El Monte, you MUST get some delicious (and nutritious) dairy from the folks at Driftwood Dairy. They've got a drive-thru where they sell their finest dairy products, such as milk, creamer, egg-nog (seasonal), chocolate milk, etc. They also sell eggs, sodas, and other snacks that can be found at your typical convenience store. The service is pretty good: quick, helpful, and most importantly, convenient.

Honestly, I am a bit biased when it comes to Driftwood Dairy as this is not only my local dairy ​but the dairy that I grew up drinking at home and at school. Nevertheless, they have quality dairy products that should appease most diary aficionados​ such as myself :)

This right here is my favorite Drive-Thru in all El Monte! Simply because they got almost everything you might need or find at a liquor store or 7 Eleven and you don't need to get off your car! They do open on Saturdays!!! From 8am to 4pm!!

For years the Driftwood Dairy was the source of dairy products for my parents, and then me. Unfortunately, they seem to have closed, at least the convience store portion.

Living in So. Cali, I bet my fellow Yelpers that You, reader, have Not been to a drive-thru dairy mart where the milk is actually processed there!

In front, it looks like your normal drive-thru convenience store - but in actuality, right next to it, if you drive South, is the actual processing plant where they import cows from the 909 area to spurt their creamy juices (no pun intended, seriously!) haha! =)

So the milk they sell at this store is actually really fresh and in my mind, tastes more 'creamy.' Smooth and silky!

As for the milk you buy in your local grocery store - you don't know whether it's been 2 weeks since its actually been processed prior to being placed on the shelves, or even a month!

I take my milk Seriously! Milk is pure nourishment for your body. Yes, it 'does a body good.'

My friends call me the 'cereal killer' because I can devour and consume so much of it in a single setting - it's my favorite snack!

Growing up here in the area and friends living by, what is better than this drive through dairy mart? This is the main distribution center for Driftwood Dairy milk where you used to hear about the milk man making their deliveries. It's like a convenient store but you don't have to get out of the car to get stuff. Forget Circle K and 7-Eleven, this was the first on the block. When you are in a hurry, got to pick up items for a BBQ or a small party or get together, there are chips, dips, drinks, snacks. More of a historical landmark for me because I used to pass by this place every day from school or friend's house.

Driftwood is actually a dairy processing plant right in El Monte and they use this store to sell some of their products. You know the milk is fresh because the processing plant is close by.

I really have a sensitive pallet for milk. With fresh milk you can really taste the (natural?) sweetness and smoothness of the milk, and this place delivers.

I purchased a 10 oz bottle of 2% for 69 cents and it really hit the spot. They also sell other stuff like cigs and chips but why would you go here for that? Just get the milk, 2 gal for $6.99.
