Pasadena Motor Cars

I've been here several times, mainly oil changes and routine maintenance. The service in my experience has been very good, and whatever trouble that needs attention was on point. I'm nearby as well, so that is a plus.

That said, at some point, they started charging basically dealer service center prices. This place used to be decent value, and mainly why I come here instead of dealership, but they joined the pandemic "omg everyone is raising prices and we should too" mantra and went full greed. If they're charging me similar prices as dealerships, I'd rather go to the dealership. Although they're the only dedicated Brit car service shop nearby, there are many decent ones a little further away, and they have far better prices.

Had an unfortunate encounter with a ginormous piece of plastic on the freeway which got wrapped up on my driveshaft. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, quick to fix the problem. Left within the hour, a miracle in my books.
Light years better than the jeep dealership I first took my car to, who, without even looking under the car, gave me an outrageous quote and wanted to replace the entire piece. For thousands!! Was a bit rattled from that but thankfully this crew are lovely humans who are not trying to bamboozle you. Could not be more thankful for your prompt and efficient services!! Grazie mille

I came here because of a referral but my experience wasn't as expected. My car had a check engine light and I had taken elsewhere to get checked out first. They reset the codes and then the codes came back a few miles driving it. I originally was going to go back to the first place but someone that I trust, highly recommended that I go here. When I dropped off my car, their customer service was great. Their waiting area is pleasant and they provided me a ride home shortly after.

They inspected my car and their lead mechanic refused to do any work on my car because he said that the engine was shot and I needed I new one. The oil levels were so low that it was thick, it was also making a rattling sound, it didn't look good. They quoted me 15,000 to replace the engine. My car is worth less than that. I asked if they would change the oil and they said no but they would add oil so that I can drive it home.

I went back to the original place, that mechanic took apart part of the engine and replaced the timing belt and a variety of other parts, spark plugs, oil change. Anything that he saw that looked like it could be trouble he called me to recommended replacing. It was extremely labor intensive. With all that my car runs beautifully and it cost me 3,500 dollars.

I'm sure this business is great, they seem to have a loyal customer base. Unfortunately, they were too busy to help me with my car.

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Pasadena Motor Cars for the last 10+ years. That statement alone really says everything.

In this day and age, to be able to say that you've been a customer with any local business for over 10 years is a not only a testament to the quality of that business' services but in how much they value their customers.

In short, Pasadena Motor Cars is one of the good guys. Just ask any one of their long-standing customers and they'll tell you the same.

I ran out of gas on the 210 and I'm not from around here so I called a couple tow companies and they all told me they didn't provide that service or it was over an hour until they could even get to me. So Pasadena motor cars pops up and I thought might as well call before I start walking for 30 mins to the gas station. Well the gentleman that answered the phone told me no problem and sent one of his techs to help me out. Talk about 1st class service I want to say thank you to your team and let the community know that your company went above and beyond .

This is a family business that still does the old fashion way....with honesty, integrity and good old neighborly charm. The way respectable businesses should always be.
I've been a dealership client for many years until I got tired of these dealerships egregiously overcharging on parts and labor!

Here, the family team is very capable in getting your car up and ready in a timely fashion. Everyone here is knowledgeable and they really do have you, the customer, in mind. They don't abuse your money, your time and most importantly your good faith. They keep to their word and estimates are usually fair and objective. I love the fact that they really do just tell you what repairs your car needs. They make money the old fashion way: they earn it. I hope my car doesn't always break down, but if it does, I'm coming to Pasadena Motor Cars! See you here!
